About the Portal
This online portal is a service of the German-Czech and German-Slovak Historical Commission (DTDSHK) - funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) on behalf of the German Federal Foreign Office. It is mainly maintained by the German section of the Historical Commission (Scientific Secretariat).
The portal presents interviews, offers access to digital publications, documents as well as video presentations in a multimedia library, and publishes a new online journal with publication opportunities especially for younger scholars.
The broadly conceived topics on the common history of Germans, Czechs and Slovaks are intended to inform and stimulate discussion - they are aimed not only at academics, but also at a broader public, not least schoolchildren.
